Save & Love Wild Horses & Our Land and Water !
We are working to save thousands of at-risk government jailed horses, grassland ecosystems, and surrounding communities from the impact of wildfires and climate change; with groundbreaking, supported rewilding healing land management studies, that also aim to empower Native youth, and Elders.
Last year in 2022 LWH helped save 28 wild horses from slaughter, and since our inception in 2010, we have helped save 118 sacred horses and gathered over 670,000 members through our social media outreach to empower the last of the wild horses to be protected to survive and thrive. Thus far this year, we have already saved twenty amazing wild horses;!
Supported equine rewilding management reduces the risk and occurrence of wildfires, reduces desertification, fosters new growth of native plants and forage, and increases and protects water sources, thereby aiding in developing and protecting biodiversity.
